We work in Xero, QuickBooks Online, FreeAgent, and Sage — your existing setup, not ours. If you don't have one yet, we'll recommend based on volume, sector, and integrations (Xero for most service businesses, QuickBooks for product/inventory, FreeAgent for contractors, Sage for legacy reporting needs). All four are MTD-compliant and we license at our cost if needed.
Bank feeds reconcile daily, full categorisation happens weekly for transactional businesses or monthly for lower-volume ones. You always see a month-end pack within 10 working days of month close — P&L, balance sheet, and any items needing your input. Quarterly VAT and year-end are then a non-event because the records are already clean.
No. We use Dext or Hubdoc to capture receipts via phone photo, email forwarding, or supplier auto-fetch — the system OCRs and posts straight to your accounts. Bank feeds cover most payment-side data automatically. You only need to forward genuinely unusual items. Most clients spend under 15 minutes a week on bookkeeping admin once we're set up.

Yes. We do catch-up and rescue projects regularly — typically a fixed-fee one-off to bring everything current, then onto a normal monthly plan. The catch-up fee is quoted after a free 30-minute review of the current state.
