Accessibility Statement.

Everyone should be able to use Zmartly’s services — including this website. This statement explains what we’ve built in, what we know is still limited, and how to report a barrier.

Last updated · 18 May 2026WCAG 2.2 AA target

1 · Our commitment

Zmartly Ltd is committed to making zmartly.co.uk usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or assistive technology. We treat accessibility as a default for every page we build, not as a feature that gets bolted on at the end.

2 · Standards we target

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, level AA, which covers the four POUR principles — Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust. Most of the site meets that target; specific known gaps are listed under Known limitations below.

3 · Built-in accessibility features

  • Semantic HTML throughout — landmarks (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>), heading hierarchy, lists for sets of items.
  • Keyboard-navigable across every interactive element. Focus rings are visible and use signal-cyan contrast.
  • ARIA labels on icon-only buttons (close, dismiss, menu open/close, back-to-top, sticky CTA dismiss).
  • Modal dialogs trap focus, close on ESC, and restore scroll position when dismissed.
  • Images have descriptive alt text, with empty alt for purely decorative imagery so screen readers don’t announce them.
  • prefers-reduced-motion respected — animation, parallax, and scroll-reveal effects are disabled for users with the OS setting on.
  • Colour contrast ratios meet the AA 4.5:1 minimum for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
  • Skip-to-content link is provided for keyboard users.
  • Form fields have associated labels, inline error messaging, and accessible required-field indicators.

4 · Known limitations

We’re honest about the gaps. As of the last update date, we are aware of:

  • Embedded Cal.com booking widget — third-party iframe. Its accessibility is controlled by Cal.com, not by us. The link to the calendar opens in a new tab as an alternative.
  • Embedded Google Maps on the Contact page — third-party iframe. The office address is also available as plain text directly above the map.
  • Long-form blog posts migrated from WordPress may include legacy markup such as <details> disclosure widgets and inline images. These are styled to match the rest of the site but may still have heading-level inconsistencies inherited from the original content.
  • Decorative gradient sheen on emphasised words uses a CSS animation. It pauses for users with prefers-reduced-motion set.

We re-audit the site quarterly and address known issues as they arise.

5 · Reporting an issue

If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from using the site, please tell us. We respond to accessibility reports within 5 working days and aim to fix critical issues within 30 days.

  • Email info@zmartly.co.uk with “Accessibility” in the subject line.
  • Describe the page, the device, and the assistive technology you were using if applicable.

6 · Enforcement

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing accessibility regulations in the UK. If you’re unhappy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
